POETS' Christmas Lunch at Da Francos 2018
The 2018 Christmas lunch was held on Friday 7th December. Another bumper turnout, as well as experiencing the usual festive atmosphere and excellent food at Da Francos, were able to witness the induction of two new members. We were delighted to welcome Matt Maslen of Travis Perkins and Chris Gibbons of Tarmac to the POETS ranks.

As well as the regular raffle there was an impromptu auction which together managed to raise £1,171 for the chosen charities. It also pushed up the year's total close to £18,500, an all time POETS' record.

Proceedings were concluded as always with the awarding of the 'Chairman's Award'. This year it went to a most deserving recipient - Paul Nash, who as well as carrying out his duties as the POETS' honorary secretary was also instrumental in assisting Chris Gardner deliver an amazingly successful Opal Ball.
